Curriculum


Your instructor
Sharnelle Patterson is the visionary behind Mindful Twerking (MTW) and the founder of Lucid Serenity LLC, a holistic wellness and dance enterprise. With over 15 years of professional experience in social services, mental health, and education, she brings a rare blend of movement, psychology, and advocacy to her teaching.
She holds an A.A. in Psychology from College of the Canyons and a B.A. in Applied Behavioral Analysis from Arizona Global Campus, giving her a strong foundation in human behavior, mindfulness, and resilience-building strategies. Her background includes intensive rehabilitation services, infant development programs, reentry support, and mental health advocacy, making her uniquely equipped to guide others through transformation.
Her work is rooted in both clinical knowledge and creative practice. She has skill sets spanning:
Dance & Movement: Professional choreography, workshop facilitation, and performance.
Mental Health & Wellness: Psychoeducation, mindfulness coaching, behavioral interventions.
Education & Advocacy: Curriculum design, social-emotional learning, safe space creation.
